As an innovation design intern at Ocean OS, I was involved in creating 3D models and animations of their marine biodiversity monitoring systems. These are to be used as visual content in their marketing materials, presentations and meetings with a variety of different stakeholders, including offshore wind companies and kelp restoration farms. The animation above shows the different types of sensors the Ocean OS uses at an offshore wind farm, both above and below water.

The next film (above) communicates how the company sends onsite data via cellular to the cloud and then processes the data to create usable biodiversity-related metrics via machine learning.

Finally, the last film (above) involved showing how Ocean OS can also use satellite scanning data to create detailed and widespread observations of a large body of water.

I later created 2 renders of Ocean OS’ long-term marine mammal monitoring system (right) and their long-term biodiversity monitoring lander (left).
